Rogue tradesmen run up a £865m bill for botched jobs in the UK alone!

Cowboy tradesmen are costing UK homeowners £865 million a year in botched jobs, a survey says. One in three homeowners have had to employ another tradesman to fix the previous one's mistakes - at an average cost of £256.

In the past year 68 per cent of homeowners, 10 million families, have experienced bad workmanship, with seven out of ten unhappy with levels of service, according to "Rated Tradesmen". The on-line company warns that by cutting corners to get cheaper quotes, homeowners are fueling a 'nationwide boom' in cowboys.
